Review - Use-Case: Install dbViZ Brian Sidharta 07 Dec 2002 This is an informal review report of the Use Case Specification for Installing the dbViZ aplication, authored by Abhay Sathe. Reviewed sections are bulleted with a hyphen "-", with the reviewer's comments following each item. - 2.1 Flow of Events - Basic Flow For step 2, assume that it will be a natively-executable file that the user can execute to initiate the installation process. This also replaces step 3. For step 5, we are using the GNU General Public License. (you can remove the comment) - 2.2 Alternative Flows Please add numbering to the flow steps to denote what step of the Basic Flow the Alternative Flow modifies. For an example, please see the Use Case Specification for Adding a Table to an ER Diagram. - 4 Preconditions With the final installation process, we will not have an installed JVM as a prerequisite for installing dbViZ; the dbViZ installer will detect and install an appropriate JVM if one is not present. This Alternative Flow should thus be added to the Alternative Flow section. - 5 Postconditions The postcondition is that the dbViZ application is successfully instaled and can be used immediately. Additionally, the icon to start the application is placed on the desktop on appropriate operating systems.
